Also know as the “First City”, Ketchikan is the first city you encounter on your way north from the lower 48 states and lies in the heart of 16.9 million acres which is the Tongass National Forest.
Alaska Deep Six is a small company poised on the edge of the water way known as the Inside Passage, A popular and historic travel route,
and cuts through the heart of the Tongass National Forest. In the Tongass you will find ice fields, glaciers, mountains, valleys, estuaries, and thousands of pristine Islands.
Below the water line, new and exciting diving and snorkeling locations have everything a person could dream of, appealing to both the novice and experienced. The diversity and sheer volume of life is truly unparalleled, with over 11,000 miles of shoreline, bays, coves and reef systems teeming with marine life--whales, (from the large Humpbacks to the sleek and beautiful Orca or ( killer whale), seals and sea lions; hundreds of species of fish; and incredibly colorful invertebrates literally carpeting the rocky walls.
Our all-local staff offer some of the most unique opportunities for the water enthusiast. We are dedicated to providing guided echo tours to SMALL GROUPS of divers and snorkelers, giving our guests a truly personal approach to the Alaskan adventure and the opportunity to experience something unique and exciting for the entire family.
